NoteID vs. DocumentUniqueID

The NoteID is a number occupying 4 Bytes of memory. In hexadecimal representation, it can have up to 8 digits at maximum. So everything seems fine with your code, as far as I can see.

NOTE: Maybe there is a confusion with the DocumentUniqueID (or UniversalID, for that matter). That occupies 16 Bytes of memory, which is equivalent to a hexadecimal representation 32 digits long at maximum.
